Welcome to “Tokinami,” a blog for original fiction and translations by me, John Cuturic—I hope you’ll enjoy your visit! I have been an aspiring author since 2014, and I have some self-published work available (for instance, see Beneath the Ice on Amazon or elsewhere). I’m also a 2020 graduate of Kent State University’s master’s in translation program. I hope to use this blog to upload thoughts, translations, and pieces of original fiction.

I love genre fiction, especially SF & Fantasy. Some of my favorite writers include (in English) J.R.R. Tolkien, Brandon Sanderson, and Agatha Christie, (and in Japanese) Akagawa Jirou, Oyamada Hiroko, and game author Ryukishi07.
